How do plants help us? - Children's Literature
In this Level F Guided Reader in the “My World” series, the many ways plants help humans are identified. Among the concepts introduced are oxygen, forest, photosynthesis, and seeds. These words and several others are introduced at the beginning alongside pictures depicting the words. The words are also bolded in the text throughout and defined in context. A plant is defined as a living thing that grows and changes, and needs air, water, and sunlight. The parts of a plant are identified, as is photosynthesis through colorful illustrations. Bright photographs feature children with plants.
