Spinosaurus

This book tells the story of Spinosaurus, a dinosaur with large jaws, sharp teeth, and a huge sail on its back that stood six feet (two meters) tall. Around 40 feet (12 meters) long, it was one of the largest meat eaters. Spinosaurus lived during the late Cretaceous period around 95 million years ago.

Spinosaurus - Children's Literature
An introductory page contains a diagram of the Mesozoic Era showing the Triassic, the Jurassic, and the Cretaceous Periods. A brief text explains that living things have been around for billions of years and the place in time for the Spinosaurus. A twenty-two page story follows which personifies a male Spinosaurus and takes him through a day in his life. He awakens to discover that the river has flooded and the tides are high. He must get to higher ground to avoid drowning.
