Go Quiz Yourself on Dinosaurs - Booklist
Comprised of infographics, high-interest subjects, and, you guessed it, quizzes, the Go Quiz Yourself series (6 titles) takes an active approach to learning. This dinocentric volume is organized into thematic chunks that give broad overviews of geologic time periods; dinosaur-extinction theories; types of dinosaurs; their diets, defenses, and eggs; pterosaurs and sea creatures; amphibians and early mammals; and, finally, fossils. A few fossil photos are included, but the book is primarily illustrated with digital artwork, such as a time line, diagrams, imagined scenes, etc. A two-page quiz follows each section, testing readers on a blend of trivia and general knowledge previously presented (an answer key is included). Readers wanting to learn detailed dinosaur facts should look elsewhere, but this makes a fun companion title for units on prehistory.
